Hello Fanny & friends at Vamos 4x4.

I wanted to thank you again for the help you extended last September to [removed for privacy], the young woman who we sent to the clinic near Santa Teresa and whom you helped with affordable transportation.

[removed for privacy] spent eight days at the O-3 Institute clinic, doing a lot of natural cleansing, saunas and nutrition advice. She returned back and started her school year at [removed for privacy] University in Canada. In December she was once again back in New York for another biopsy, to see what the status of her cancer was, and whether she was ready for surgery. The result? She was CLEAN! FREE of her uterus cancer! No cutting, no radiation, no drugs, nothing. Just shifting her mind, cleansing her body, and setting her thoughts to a positive outcome.

I have told this story to so many people, but I still get goosebumps as I am typing this. Thank you to all of you for helping in making this happen!

I am also planning another trip to Costa Rica very soon - this time just me, but I also hope to come again this summer (Jul-August) with my whole family.

Would Happily Choose You and Your Cars Again

The car worked fine for us. It had the pep to get up the steep hills to our villa, enough room for the three of us and our bags, and even had air conditioning. Though we did not use the 4wd capability, it was comforting to know that it was there just in case.

I would suggest putting a letter in the car talking about local road customs. For example, we passed through many school zones, which were marked with 25kph signs, but no one seemed to honor them. We had no idea when the school zones were in force, since there is no time on the signs like there is in the USA (ex: School Zone 7:30-8:30, 3:00-4:00).

We were also not sure where to park in Quepos, Manuel Antonio, and Dominical. In the states there are clear signs saying where to park and where not to. This is more tribal knowledge in Costa Rica, and we did not wish to go against any local customs or laws. If we had been towed (does that even happen?) we would not have known what to do.

A little map would have been helpful if it pointed out the following:

*Where to get gasoline?
*Beaches of interest (We liked Dominical, Dominicalito, and Guapil
*Supermarkets for buying food and drinks (though your water is excellent!)
*Restaurants with a view or some local feature

For anyone straying off of the main highway 34, I would recommend a GPS. We let tour guides take us to river rafting and zip lining, but might do more exploratory driving next trip.

We would happily choose you and your cars again. Please keep our name on file for next time!

Your comments are excellent suggestions on how to add an extra touch to the level of service to our clients. I do feel, though, that often visitors are barraged with pamphlets and other marketing material on their first trip and potentially not even read. However, we will put your suggestions available in a PDF downloadable file. This way it will allow interested visitors to print out the info prior and read it at their leisure. Also, saving some trees in the process and we are all for that. ;-)

The Team in San Jose is Awesome

From the first time I got in touch with you guys, I had an amazing service.

I ask for an early delivery, and Tiziana gave it to me. You sent us a map where I was able to see where we were going and our trip was easier to plan. The GPS was really helpful; don\'t know how we would made it if it wasn\'t from that GPS. Cell phone is a nice touch: if we are in trouble we know we have always somehow to reach you. The Bego was very fuel efficient.

After thinking there was something: the radio in the car we had didn\'t function really well. We bought CDs and it couldn\'t play them and there was almost never any music on the radio, but that\'s all.

Seriously, the team in San Jose is awesome. Thanks for having helped us to make our trip so easy :)

Customer Service From Your Office Staff Was As Always -- Very Good

Its not usual for companies to care what the client thinks once payment has been received.

I must say as usual; you guys came thru, the car ran great, the price was fair and the customer service from your office staff was as always -- very good.

As always, it was a pleasure doing business with your company and look forward to using you in the future.

During Christmas holidays I had to use a different company (which will remain nameless) sounds like -------!

And was not at all happy with some of their employees attitudes or customer service:

*Tires were bald on Montero Sport and was told “they look good enough for me; I would drive on them”
*There was a scratch on the vehicle that I mentioned at time of rental and was told “no problem that's normal and we don’t check that off." To my surprise when I returned to the states they had added and extra $250.00 for repairs and said I should have pointed it out.

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you how incredibly pleased I have been with my whole Vamos experience and in particular with the impeccable service provided by Anibal Morales.

As a manager, I understand how important it can be to receive occasional feedback on your employees and I would like to say that you have a great asset in Anibal.

Third Time Renting a Car in Costa Rica...Far and Away the Best Experience

This was our third time renting a car in Costa Rica and far and away the best experience.

Anibal was immediately responsive to email questions and booking arrangements.

The car itself was clean and the tires were in excellent condition.

The rate for hotel drop off was fair and the delivery was on time. The rate for the car was the best I found.

I was a little nervous and disappointed that the driver of the drop off car didn't have a Costa Rica map for us, but Anibal had one for us in the vehicle that picked up our drop off driver. Anibal was friendly and very knowledgeable about travel and locations in Costa Rica.

The ONLY issue that I had with the experience was with the air freshener which was remedied by putting it in the glove box for the duration so we could enjoy the naturally fresh air. (I had to think hard to come up with a complaint)

We have recommended Vamos to our friends and will continue to give positive reviews on Trip Advisor and other opportunities which may arise.
